Pros

- You will constantly be learning & challenged with an ever-changing and evolving work environment in the software industry; you will never be bored & will always look forward to what is next. - It’s a good place to get experience in software/IT and learn the basics of project management, communication, and customer service, especially for those fresh out of college or looking for a major career change. Bonus advantage if you have banking/finance experience. - You’ll learn the importance of establishing rapport & will build lasting professional relationships with clients. - You work with a handful of very intelligent, insightful, truly kind co-workers with whom lasting relationships will be formed, even years after you leave the company.

Cons

- Morale is a huge issue in the company. Negativity abounds, despite management's attempts to ward it off with company outings, carry-ins, and the occasional "pep talk" from senior management. - Turnover rate is obscene, despite all new employees and promoted employees being forced to sign an employment contract that borders on unethical. Does nothing for morale issues (see above). - The only compensation for dedicating your life & soul to the company ("drinking the company koolaid" so to speak) is being gifted the responsibility of 3+ employees' workloads, the expectation to be available at all hours of the day and night, and the ability to ruin your personal relationships while your life is consumed by the company. - The only advantage to making yourself indispensable by working hard and being innovative is a false sense of importance; if you're lucky enough to have a decent direct manager, you’ll receive the occasional pat on the back and sense of respect you feel you've earned. These positive emotions are fleeting and will instantly vanish when you realize any loyalty you felt to the company is not reciprocated, and you can easily be thrown under the bus at a moment’s notice to protect someone else’s reputation. - There are way too many emotions at play here. All companies have their politics; that’s a given. Bradford-Scott takes politics to a new level with the cliques, the underlying motives, and the back-stabbing. The safest way to make a living here is to show up late, take a long, liquid lunch, work late to make up for it, and don’t get on the bad side of the wrong people.
