Pros

Really good experience for anything behavioral health wise and physical therapy, ot, slp. you learn a lot from working with the kids and the center as a whole cares for the children and the work we do.

Cons

Leadership positions are passive aggressive and fake in general. My coworkers at my specific location were unwelcoming of new groups and frequently talked behind each others backs. The pay was not worth it for me personally. The schedule is good if you’re a college student and just looking for experience, if you’ve got bills to pay this is not it. They were not upfront with me about how much unpaid time i’d have off. Director positions WILL walk all over you if you let them and take advantage of your energy and work and not pay you fairly for it. Weird energy from a lot of the girls working there and passive aggressive meetings every 2 weeks with criticism with no construction. the way things run are confusing in terms of levels, sometimes people would have different answers for what counts as a plus or minus and it’s just a lot of information to learn. A lot of the people there are know-it-alls who look down on you when you make a mistake or you’re doing something wrong (mistakes happen). You get absolutely no breaks and are expected to work back to back for multiple hours with behaviorally challenged and autistic children, burnout is inevitable at times unless you’re the right fit. Sometimes can’t go to the bathroom for hours, and being hit, bit, and yelled to by the children comes with the job. 0 benefits

Pros

Really great environment, able to help children improve every day, nice coworkers, and great flexibility.

Cons

Night hours, but really, that is not that bad once you get used to it.

Pros

Working as a sensory motor coach here was a genuinely positive experience. Management was supportive and easy to reach, always offering helpful guidance and advice when needed. The culture felt welcoming from day one, and the flexible scheduling made it easy to balance the role with other commitments. Onboarding was smooth as well, and I felt well situated and set up for success.

Cons

The only thing is that there is a natural degree of unpredictability that comes with working with kids day to day, though that's more a reality of the work itself than a shortcoming of the job.
