Pros

- not much as of late - some leaders are great... others are not - we haven't let go of some of the core culture that was developed when our Chief People Officer was here and a really solid baseline was set, even though a lot of it is gone

Cons

Bread used to be a company whose culture was unmatched. our management team was strengthened and nurtured, our focus on the employee happiness was bar none, and our hiring was top notch. By far the best thing about Bread was its HR team and HR leadership. I think they try, they really do, but they just don't have it.

Bread Financial Response

We appreciate the candid response. And, ultimately, we agree with the biggest sentiment here: with the acquisition, as well as new products, partnerships, and growth, culture and employee happiness is paramount. We believe that for our business to succeed, our team must be happy, achieving shared and individual growth. In addition to other measures to this end, we are happy to report, in the time that this post was published, key additions to the people team at every level. These folks work hard not just to attract top talent, but also to put our people first as we continue scale.
