Best Grub Job if you don't have an education. Better pay than McDonald's. Hires on the spot basically.
Cons
Dispatch does play favorites at times because of lack of confidence. For the last 2 windows they usually send the fastest bikers out for deliveries just to close earlier. They cut hours on some people because they aren't confident in them. New Columbus Circle loading garage is terrible. You got to push up a bike up the garage with 100+ Pounds. Might be an OSHA violation. This caused some people to quit or get suspended trying to find work around like riding the bike up the ramp because they couldn't walk it up. Manny the lead dispatcher puts his feelings to much in his write ups. If he has personal feelings towards you then he will get you fired or suspended any chance he gets. Even if it's something little like human error forgetting a bag. I forgot a bag once and this happens atleast every other month even for other employees. He tried writing me up. It would be one thing if it's consistent but human error does happen. Bikes are terribly fixed, barely get mechanics, and doesn't have basic safety equipment like bells and headlights. Sometimes the electric motor barely works causing you to be slow on your route. Some bikes max is 15 mph while other bikes can go 25 mph easily no matter the weight on the trailer. The other location at Houston get treated better with mechanics on site and gets newer things before Columbus Circle. There are little to none benefits.
