Pros

Great people Possibility for good hours M-F 10-6ish (might have to ignore your phone) Growing company Happy hours (mandatory, and you don't get reimbursed for parking)

Cons

Incredibly lofty goals that don't make sense for what your territory is I have never had a job that trained me less and then micromanaged me to hell I would often ask my supervisor and boss questions for weeks without getting answers If you send an email, expect to send 3 more to confirm Constant turnover at this company, never seen a more depressed office You pay for gas & parking out of pocket and if you are in a city that can get really expensive Often pushed to sell products you don't get commission on Often pushed to sell products to help upper management with suppliers Be expected to be doing deliveries for you accounts regularly especially on Fridays. Your territory will change making it difficult to keep a relationship An account can have 4+ reps and than another 6+ points of contact from this 1 company! I was given a new account, without notice, then when I got there their bar was already filled out by our competitors who got there 3 weeks earlier! They posture as a well run company when it's a mess

Pros

Flexible hours, co-workers, work semi- independently.

Cons

NO job security! you can be let go anytime they want to do a "restructure". UNREALISTIC data driven goals, they're still working off COVID numbers and don't want to settle back down to reality, basically greed. Pay sucks, you can't get a place to live on your own with the compensation they offer, and the cost for the wear and tear on your vehicle is astounding, the competitors pay better. You're just a number that's micro-managed and they constantly let go of good employees that are making somewhat decent income for the work they put in and replace them with new ones that are paid significantly less with poor work ethics. It's a revolving door. There is no future for sales reps in this company as they are heading to e-commerce to eliminate actual bodies that physically go into stores and engage with owners and managers. How can this be a "best managed company" when there are constant labor disputes, strikes, layoffs, and restructurings? Use to be a good company to work for, once upon a time.
