Pros

Free meals 2 times a day. Flexible working hours. Admin and IS team is helpful.

Cons

They will promote and give more opportunities to their own employees who joined emtec as freshers. Within 1 week of joining they will expect you to perform as other experienced employees who have complete business knowledge. If you do not meet their expectations you will get asked again and again and you will start doubting your skills and abilities. Basically they won't give you time to understand the business of the project and immediately after joining you are being judged based on the time you take to complete a task. If you are asking for help, you will come into senior management's notice and you will be in their radar. If you are in good terms with senior management you will get promotions and awards frequently. Otherwise there is no appreciation from management. You will feel demotivated. Those who joined as fresher will have higher package than you with same experience. No matter how much hard work you do here you won't get promotion and appreciation these things depend on your reach/approach to higher management. No role of HR team all depends on senior management.

Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback. At Emtec, each of our associates is equally important. Freshers, being new to our industry, may need more guidance and mentoring as compared to experienced associates, which you may have misconstrued as favoritism. We do cater to clients from different industries, some of which may be new to associates joining us. In such cases, project leaders ensure that they provide adequate guidance about the intricacies of the client’s areas of business. If an associate feels that he or she needs more time to understand the project and expectations, we do encourage them to reach out to their project leaders. As you would already know, we are a very flat organization where senior management is quite easily accessible, approachable, and responsive to any questions and concerns. Associate recognition is something we strive for as a firm. We do encourage our associates to think outside the box and share their ideas freely. Our senior leadership rewards innovative thinking, collaboration, and high performance. Each associate has an equal opportunity to excel in their roles. We encourage you to speak to your project leader or manager to better understand the expectations of your role, your performance, and potential opportunities for growth. Our compensation is driven by our internal policies and guidelines. Freshers are hired as part of a specially designed program for entry-level candidates. Our compensation guidelines are fair to associates at all levels. We do encourage you to communicate your thoughts and concerns directly to our senior management and/or HR team so that they can be addressed.

Pros

I love the people I work with. I’m constantly learning with every project, and I feel appreciated for my skills and talents. My boss is awesome and gives me a lot of freedom. He's friendly, open, honest, and a great mentor. I think he believes in my abilities more than I sometimes do, which pushes me to take on challenges that help me grow and be a valuable asset to the company. Our team is made up of generally happy people, which makes even the tough jobs feel manageable. I’ve also never worked on a brand I wasn’t excited about, which keeps the work feeling meaningful and fun.

Cons

- The emphasis on time tracking/timesheets creates constant stress around balancing billability and over-logging hours. - My role and responsibilities have grown but my compensation hasn't changed much over the last several years. - No bonuses.

Pros

Decent pay, good people, and remote company.

Cons

Layoffs about every 3 months. Leadership doesn’t disclose. You’ll be looking to reach out to someone about a project and find out they’re not even there anymore. Leadership and management provide little to no training/information yet expect you to perform as if you did. It’s actually very strange. Promotions only given to offshore team members. No culture - the culture is getting the company more money. Poor change management process, yet lots of changes.
