Pros
This is a company with incredibly smart, driven, and caring people. A team that is willing to help each other out, teach and mentor each other, and driven to be the best. I never found a lack of interesting work and problems to solve. I never found I was "stuck" in one lane or a box - if there was something I wanted to learn or work on to learn and grow - that was available to me. If I wanted to take on something out of my current scope, if it added value, I was able to do that. I enjoyed knowing that the focus was on adding value and not job title or hierarchy. While the feedback culture can require thick skin, once you build trust that people aren't out to get you, the culture really helps you learn so much about yourself and what you like and are good at. Striving for excellence is the goal - this place has high standards for the quality of work and pushes you to be your best.
Cons
Work/life balance at Bridgewater is hard. There is always so much work to do and it takes employees who are really good at setting boundaries and prioritizing with managers to have a good work/life balance.
