Pros

Mission-driven product makes a difference for kids and educators believe in its impact. Great design and presentation of the data so it is easy for educators to interpret. Modules address important topics for educators to improve student learning.

Cons

Leadership team is very junior and/or inexperienced. New CEO does not have the expertise or background for a growing start-up in Silicon Valley (not a visionary or inspiring leader). Lack of transparency, collaboration and overall office culture is very cold.

I had a good experience working at BrightBytes. The environment offered valuable learning opportunities and exposure to different aspects of the business. The mission was compelling, and I appreciated working alongside some talented colleagues..

Cons

The company had some growing pains that come with most early stage startups. Sometimes the communication and priorities from leadership were unclear.
