      Pros

      I am working in a software team supporting hardware development. A lot of interactions with hardware teams. A very good experience for a person want to learn how and why hardware is designed as such.

      Cons

      The company is valuing hardware much more than software, probably because a lot of customers will develop their own software anyway. So the software quality is often low.

      High pay, good benefits, stock options

      Cons

      Soulless corporate structure and demands. Broadcom acquired the company I worked for and drastically increased prices immediately, alienating well over 50% of our customers.
