Pros

Advantages of being in a big company.

Cons

To my surprise, management was not at all professional. The general manager of the unit had no clue about what is going on in the project and he was getting fooled each month by engineering so each month the tape out date would get postponed. The marketing was running all over the place without having slightest clue about what chip they were building and what software ecosystem that chip is expected to fit in. The division had really bad apples at the highest level like chief architect, distinguished engineer etc who use to hide important design information about the chip being designed from software people. On top of that lot of work was being done in offshore centers and over 70% of the people including managers over there were either not competent or not the right hire for the job.
