Pros
Historically was a great place to work because of all the brilliant engineers and marketing people. No one got in your face because they were running so fast and needed everyone focusing on the future. Salaries were exceedingly low, but equity made up the difference for the most part. THIS IS NO LONGER THE CASE!
Cons
Unfortunately management could not leave well enough alone. The bean counters took over and then they beefed up HR (quadrupled in 2 years) for some reason. Management went from needing the employees to viewing them as a liability and treating them as such. Highest level managers are enriching themselves at the expense of the company's long term prospects.
