Pros

Cutting-edge work, constantly pushing the boundaries of innovation. Opportunities for doing something radically new keep coming up. Experience and qualifications are no bar if you can get the job done. New value-based compensation rewards employees based on their direct contribution to business, making it attractive for ambitious younger employees. Clearing out some of the older management who've been twiddling their thumbs for a decade has helped cut the fat a lot. Work from home is pretty liberal even after the Avago merger so far.

Cons

Cost-cutting has given rise to some ridiculous policies in sections like travel, immigration and other ancillary functions, even affecting recruiting and project execution. Organizational and managerial transparency has gone for a toss. Coming to office is like a business transaction, you're on your own. Retaining talent and the spirit of cooperative teamwork which has made Broadcom so successful will be at risk due to some of the short-sighted decisions being taken.

Pros

High pay, good benefits, stock options

Cons

Soulless corporate structure and demands. Broadcom acquired the company I worked for and drastically increased prices immediately, alienating well over 50% of our customers.
