Cons
Honestly Im not sure where to start on the issues of this company, but I will be speaking from a sales perspective. I would also like to clarify that I have never written one of these and never planned to, but I felt compelled to post something as I had felt completely scammed on accepting the offer to come aboard to what was in reality a sinking ship. But I would say my entire opinion and negative feelings towards broady span from transparency. I was brought onto the team with the expectation that was shared to me multiple times of a fast growing, well funded, well oiled machine that needed highly effective sales reps. I was told that the average sale was 4000.00 - 6000.00 and reps were expected to hit 33,000.00 in revenue each month. I was told that 60%+ of the sales floor was either hitting or exceeding quota. I was told that outbound to inbound lead flow was 70 / 30. I was told the culture was fantastic and an important part of the company. All of these things were apart of a pipe dream and far from reality. Only 2-3 people on the floor were hitting quota and were assigned the best accounts to help manage, as most of them were already apart of partnership affiliate deals. Your entire pipeline that is assigned is 100% outbound cold leads that have been recirculated for 5+ years. The company boasts about having the best product but is no longer innovating and completely disreguards the feedback from sales reps. It was very clear that the sales management and upper leadership saw the primary issues of the company as a "sales rep problem" instead of looking closely at the management and unrealistic expectations. There was zero communication from sales leadership about changes in product or company direction which leaves the reps confused and lost. The opportunity to make money here is extremely difficult with almost no help from the company as a far as resources to provide updated info. Apart from the fantastic head trainer, the training is very limited and clearly underfunded. This company has the highest turnover rate for sales employees I have ever seen, as people see the redflags from day 1. The culture that the sales management team expressed was extremely toxic, im not sure if it was intentional but it appeared that managers felt that the sales reps weren't working hard enough and made it the focus of zoom meetings to remind the team. For anyone who has been approached by Broadly or is thinking of joining the team, be very careful as to joining blindly, they entice reps with signing bonuses to mask their reality of the toxic work environment.
