Pros
I've been working at Broadly for less than a year, and I have nothing but good things to say about it! Not only are we actually making a difference by helping local small businesses(some of our customers are literally down the street) establish their online presences and reputation, we have a fun loving team that come from dynamic backgrounds and are natural self starters. We work hard and look out for each other. There is truly a sense of family here, and that’s incredibly rare to find in a workplace. On the engineering front, we use all the latest Javascript things (ES6/ES7, io.js) because FUTURE, so it's really interesting. But most importantly, Broadly has fostered a culture of learning here and safe environment for asking questions. The CTO/Cofounder is a great mentor. He has carefully thought out how to bring me up to speed by segmenting projects into different iterations that each serve as a structured learning opportunity. He is taking the time to train me properly, and that is invaluable for an engineer. The engineering team is comprised of humble developers that are incredibly helpful and supportive. I couldn’t have found a better company to grow with. Moreover, our new office is in a great location in Jack London Square. We are minutes away from the ferry, BART, Chinatown, and Blue Bottle/Bicycle Coffee. It's the dream.
Cons
We’re growing fast, so it can be harder to develop relationships with coworkers. But the extra effort really makes a difference in your overall work experience!
