Pros

My first position was as a case manager and my program director was amazing. They were very understanding that I did not speak Spanish, worked with me and was always assisting me when I needed it. My previous co-workers we're helpful and I appreciated them even though I felt left out at times, I knew I had help when I needed it. It was a well run, never overwhelming program. If I ever needed time to catch up or update my case files, my program director always gave me enough time to get it done. Talking to her was easy and I never felt pressured.

Cons

I got transferred to another program because my contract was not renewed. It was by far the WORST decision that happened to me. My immediate supervisor was amazing and I knew I could come to her for all the help I needed. The Program Director and other supervisors there...never again. They we're judgmental, borderline racist, and the program director did not give a damn about anything but THEIR program and how it made them look. I was overwhelmed with tons of cases every month, reprimanded for not having this done in a timely manor, but how could I when I didn't even have time to breath. We were not allowed to work over time, and it the program operated in a bad way. The program director could care less if you we're sick, dying, or on the verge of a break down, if you work was not done THEY DID NOT CARE. The department director was no better, never listening to the case workers and saw us as replaceable any moment. The turnover rate was ridiculous and the favoritism was blatantly shown every day. It was truly the worst department to work in and the WORST job I have ever held.
