Pros
Brookhaven Nat Lab is a premier research institution with facilities that allows to perform advanced and to some extent unique experimental work! BNL is government owed institution with great benefits and development opportunities for the employees.
Cons
Getting a tenure tract position is almost impossible, and the permanent staff is getting old. Some of the staff at BNL is well paid, but is not active at all. The leadership of the Lab have such strategy for the next 20 years that will transform this research institution to a service Lab.
