Pros
If lucky, you get to do some interesting work. No matter what you are promised, it is rare you will do what you are hired to do so take this with a pinch of salt.
Cons
Management will not get rid off waste and dead weight. Instead of laying the under-performers off, they have decided to give 1% raise to those that work really hard. Promises made are very rarely fulfilled. Long Island is very expensive and the lab does not pay enough to keep competent people around. There are very few growth opportunities and there is an endless passion for reorganization.
