Pros
Loved the people I worked with. The hours were good and still allowed for some sort of work/life balance. For young people this is a great start to their work experience.
Cons
This was the company I planned on retiring with, but after many years of loyalty in subpar conditions with antiquated equipment, they decided to sell my department to Walgreens. And to top it off they never used appropriate adjective to describe our acquisition, they just “terminated” us. And the transition has been tough. Also, the ESOP is horrible and once you leave the company will take you 5 years to receive all of the 401k match they give you in ESOP, my assumption is there will be none left by the time that 5 years is up because it will have been used to reinvest in the company to make up for the losses due to selling their rx dept.
