Pros

I met a few people that are nice and willing to help.

Cons

No employee support from management especially for the administrative staff. No growth opportunities. Training is does not exist for the administrative staff. Most administrative staff have no desire to learn new, up to date technology. There is a lot of dead wood due to the union jobs. Morale is poor at best. Sick time policy is geared towards problem employees. Instead of dealing with the absentee issues where they exist, a blanket policy was put in place. You call in three unscheduled times, labeled occurrences, in a 12 month period and the corrective behavior process begins. Mangers need to be managers and not hide behind policies. All employees are treated as if they are delinquents and problem employees. There is no incentive to be productive and to make a difference at the administrative level. If there is a blizzard warning, and the governor is saying stay off the roads, everyone, essential and non-essential employees, are to report to work. Why do non-essential employees who have no patient care responsibilities need to report to work? Because management doesn't know how to, or maybe it doesn't care to, differentiate between essential and non-essential employees.
