Pros
I worked at The Miriam Hospital as a per diem medical technologist from 2007-2010. My supervisor and the management above were very pleasant and professional, so very UNLIKE the supervisors in my full-time job at that time.... The department I worked in (blood bank) was well managed. They were flexible with my schedule and in return I felt I was useful and helpful to them. When there was a budget shorfallin the late 2000's, Lifespan's senior management took pay cuts so no one would be laid off.
Cons
I had a rather long commute and the pay was rather on the low side, but pay for medical technologists was low throughout that region. New England is an expensive place to live and it would have helped if med tech salaries had been higher.
