Pros
At least $11+/hr pay (overnight makes $2/hr more) Guaranteed 40 hours PTO after working for a year Free soda in your personal beaver mug Safe environment
Cons
Absolutely horrendous management (unless you become a favorite. Then you're special). Takes a "make then miserable enough to leave" approach to getting rid of employees. New rules every day (or every week if you're lucky). No communication between shifts. This mostly effects overnight shift. Prefers to hire young women as daytime cashiers, almost exclusively (the perfect recipe for drama and gossip) Problems presented by employees are completely ignored (unless you're a favorite. Then you're special). Don't be late or call out (unless you're a favorite. Then you're special). If you work overnight, expect to be EXTREMELY short-handed. I mean like, 100 bones out of a set of 256 bones skeleton crew. Only person in your department? Looks like you gotta do the work of 3 people in 8 hours or you're gonna get one hell of an earful. Shifting schedule. Not the worst thing in the world, but expect having to work 10 days in a row or have you're days off split. Everything you have heard about no sitting for employees or customers is true. Did I mention the favoritism?
