Pros
Good pay for what you do.
Cons
Cashiers work 8-10 hour shifts. The shifts change every day and week, there is no regular fixed schedule. For example, you could work 6-2, 7:30-4, 6-4, 5-3 all in one week. You will often have stretches of working 7-10 days in a row without a day off. However, even if you are working "full time," cashiers never hit 40 hrs of work a week. It's something about their scheduling system for cashiers. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. If you want to hit 40hrs of pay each week, with a consistent schedule, do not apply to be a cashier. You also have to constantly check your schedule for this reason, as they will not hesitate to write you up if you are accidentally early or late. No matter how long your shift is, whether it is 8 or 10 hours, you only get a 20 min break. You are not allowed to leave the store until you clock out at the end of your shift. So for your break, you will sit in the cold warehouse. They are very strict and turnover is very high because you feel such high anxiety from not only being in a fast paced, loud environment but also from being afraid of messing up and getting fired on the spot. If you thrive working in a very strict environment, stick it out for the pay. But I wouldn't expect to stay here long.
