Cons
Buc-ee's walks on the edge of ethics and labor laws. Short of slavery, I'd consider it much like indentured servitude or like serving a prison sentence that allows you to go home every day to "live" your life around their schedule. Because they will tell you that you are at their mercy and the schedule will change so you need to check it every day. You will have to abide by it so forget having a life or planning anything really. It's boring, mind numbing, repetitive hard physical work. Most managers and underling manager's are drunk on a power trip. But I guess they like dead end jobs that view employees as sub human. There are 2-3 managers that aren't so much like that. It's usually understaffed and you are rushed to complete your tasks, being continuously pressured because they have a budget to guard. The end of your shift may not be the end of your shift, if they require you to stay any additional amount of time you have to stay. So ask for permission before leaving. They gaslight you into thinking that the wage you get is worth the sub humanization.
