Pros

The president and owner of the company, the discount in clothing, my co-workers, and the music! Overall I believe this company once had a great backbone about 20 years ago, but with the fast paced world around us and the company trying to grow without letting the core people who make it, help; the voice has been lost.

Cons

You cannot voice your opinion, thoughts or ideas about progression and growth of your job and the company as a whole. Even if you really want to help the company and have great ideas, you will never be heard. If you try, you are shut down and told "that will never happen". Although they make it seem like they value you, they definitely don't. The managers and higher ups have complete control of what they want and nothing else matters. Your constantly being watched and talked about behind your back, waiting to be "let go" while they compile meaningless paperwork to give them a reason to do so. They never tell you exactly what you can do to improve or when you say or do the wrong thing, instead they write it in a secret book and wait to tell you 6 months later when they've built up a case against you to fire you.

Pros

you learn a lot about clothes

Cons

literally the worst job i can possibly imagine. you’re expected to be on top of register, buying in clothes, customers stealing, dressing room, talking to the customers on the floor, counting in and out the money, etc 100% all of the time. they expect you to overextend yourself the entire shift. i have never had to be on top of so many things in my life. i have more responsibilities than the MANAGERS at my last job do for far less pay. and we are in downtown portland so we get a lot of theft and have to deescalate mental health crises constantly. every employee i’ve talked to has agreed with me that they’ve never felt like a bad employee before working here. i pride myself on being smart and helpful and quickly learning the rules of any environment im in but i’ve never felt more stupid in my life. there is literally no time to take a breath in the entire 8hr shift
