Pros

Great coworkers that you can have a lot of fun with. Can showcase your own personal style and wear what you want. Get first dibs on all of the items sold to the store. Lots of hours.

Cons

The biggest con is this: Buffalo will brainwash you into thinking they are the best company to work for and that they love you dearly. They will keep you around for 4 months, continuously telling you that you're doing great, that you are a great part of the team, etc. At that 4 month period, everything suddenly comes to light. The manager will sit you down once and say, "Do you think you want to work here?" and then a day later you'll be fired regardless of your answer. This doesn't happen to everyone of course, but if you're not perfect you're gone as soon as your 4 month probationary period runs up. They keep you around that long only because they're consistently understaffed due to the high turnover rate. Another con would be that this place is completely unprofessional and working there makes you feel like you are in high school. Everyone dates each other and drama is constantly going on.

Pros

you learn a lot about clothes

Cons

literally the worst job i can possibly imagine. you’re expected to be on top of register, buying in clothes, customers stealing, dressing room, talking to the customers on the floor, counting in and out the money, etc 100% all of the time. they expect you to overextend yourself the entire shift. i have never had to be on top of so many things in my life. i have more responsibilities than the MANAGERS at my last job do for far less pay. and we are in downtown portland so we get a lot of theft and have to deescalate mental health crises constantly. every employee i’ve talked to has agreed with me that they’ve never felt like a bad employee before working here. i pride myself on being smart and helpful and quickly learning the rules of any environment im in but i’ve never felt more stupid in my life. there is literally no time to take a breath in the entire 8hr shift
