Pros
Working in the store is a blast. If you enjoy fashion and personalities it’s a great time. The discount and benefits are good for a retail job and there is room for growth if you are reliable.
Cons
Working in admin is much different. Speaking from my own personal experience, I felt actually stunted from growth within the company while working here. Usually an assistant role leads somewhere, but assistants here are a dead end. They do not build you up to do anything more and avoid strengthening your management or responsibilities. There was little to no understanding or acknowledgement of emotions, life outside of work, or personality. Most days I wondered if anyone actually liked each other and questioned why they were with this company. It was a head trip because of the amount of social pressure they put on their family company values. A disfunctional family. Don’t show them a side of you that could possibly be judged- because they will do so. It felt so detached from what they build you up to believe in the store level. Strange company politics that praise people for being submissive. Extremely adverse to change and opinions. The sustainability and diversity doesn’t go much further than their marketing and is rarely, if not ever, discussed at a higher level. Complicated and unclear policies that are hidden beneath 10+ different handbooks.
