Pros
staff was all very friendly, (except for a few managers) kind and welcoming, working with the clothes are fun, the job tasks are fairly easy if you're a cashier, and it helped me with customer service skills
Cons
management is all over the place, would be reprimanded for rules i was never taught, training was not organized, difficult to change schedule after it's come out and they don't have any system for doing it except calling (you can't even email about it, which is frustrating because i ALWAYS want my requests to be in writing), you can't switch shifts with people either, short 15 min breaks after standing all day, and if you're not a favorite they'll sometimes schedule them really late in the shift, didn't give me the get out of jail free cards (for a tardy and an absence) i was supposed to get ever, they kept forgetting, same with rewards i won (buttons and such), they do not respect your schedule requests, i requested saturdays off as i'm a student and it's the only weekend day i would have, and they often would instead switch that and take off fridays and put me on saturdays and sundays, with no warning in advance which caused a lot of stress on me and i couldn't really do anything about it. why even allow us to say which days we can and cannot work if you're not gonna follow that at all or at the very least ask staff if it's alright to do..? mandatory meetings are overbearing and you often can't get out of them unless it's truly an emergency or you're a manager. some of the managers are judgemental. I had to cancel a already paid family trip (i don't see my family regularly because i'm at school) because of a mandatory meeting, the manager who i asked didn't give me a straight yes or no answer when i asked if i could go on the trip (i requested it weeks in advance) so i had to go to upper management during my dwindling free time who then told me i couldn't miss a mandatory meeting, had my manager just told me it would've been a lot easier. When you work here it is literally your whole waking life, especially if lots of staff turnover happens, say goodbye to your hobbies (and your legs because you'll be standing for your whole shift) as a student just wanting some extra money i thought this would be a good fit, but they're all talk, i would highly recommend you try finding a better more organized job, one that's at least more understanding for staff schedules (taking off for my graduation ceremony was a nightmare)
