Pros
• 9/10 you will have a happy customer and positive experience • A great way to meet new people • You get to interact with customers of all ages • Part* of uniform provided • Breaks are 30 mins - 1 hour depending on your shift hours
Cons
• Job description DOES NOT begin to cover the expected level of responsibility • Wage paid by age • Expect to be scheduled for your minimum hours per week + don’t expect any help from management if your availability changes or you need extra hours after you’ve been hired. You have a better chance of taking someone else's shift entirely. • Paid monthly (?!) AND required to work a back*month* • The systems for payroll, clock-in etc. are old and buggy • Collective bonuses are impossible to achieve and personal bonuses are almost non-existent unless legally required • You do more manual labour than sales - making it even harder to reach collective goals • You will not be thanked for working late, covering last minute shifts, or anything for that matter. It is expected of you to go above and beyond, above and beyond - without so much as a thank you.
