Great Place to Work - QA and Training Team Lead Builders Mutual Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Team culture (and I'm not just talking about free coffee and an onsite gym) Upper management/company leadership that know you ( and care) Work Life balance (not just the 37.5 hour work week) Flexible PTO, remote work options The free coffee and onsite gym are big perks, though

Cons

Benefits could be better. They are making some changes, but the health insurance isn't top-notch. Specifically in my role, there's a ton of ambiguity and no real job description. This translates to a lot of freedom which would be great for an entrepreneurial spirit- that's just not me.

Pros

Builders Mutual seemed like a generally decent company with good people. Overall, it may be a good fit for someone who prefers a stable, traditional corporate environment.

Cons

The technology culture felt somewhat old-school and slow to modernize. The company appeared uneven in its adoption of newer tools like AI and automation, and the hybrid work policy created frustration because some employees were required to come into the office while others were allowed to remain fully remote. It may feel limiting for someone looking for a more modern, flexible, and technology-forward workplace.
