Pros

Bullhorn is very driven to grow their products and features. Mostly younger workforce with good ideas flowing throughout. Free lunch Wednesday and breakfast on Friday, summer outing, holiday party, decent bonuses across most departments (from what I hear), great medical/dental/401k match, and some really nice people to work with. Decent diversity in the workforce and promoting females in tech is awesome. Lots of recent entry level job openings which is great for college grads looking to get into tech/SaaS. Pay is average and sometimes a bit lower (just click the Salary tab in Glassdoor to get a sense of that).

Cons

Lots of turnover in the past year, budgets seem to be cut by a lot, and currently hearing about parent company potentially looking to sell the company (which makes sense of the budget trimming). Middle management has been filled with people being promoted over the years and some seem to not know how to manage (there used to be a leadership program but have not heard about it that much in the past year). Focusing on fixing a communication issue which seems heavily related to partner programs and over-promising customer deliverables (which definitely flows all the way down from Product Mgmt, Dev, BTO, and Support).

I'm glad Bullhorn was a good place for you to start your career; as you recognize, we are committed to hiring amazing entry-level talent and being a pioneering environment for women in tech. While I don't agree with your blanket statement about middle management, I do want to recognize that we have opportunities in training our first-time managers; we recently hired a L&D Manager to enhance this and learning and development opportunities for all employees. You've likely read the awesome news that we HAVE recently been acquired by Insight Venture partners, who is providing capital for our next phase of growth. We're all excited about the opportunities this provides to not only invest in our product, but to continue investing in our people.

Pros

It's nearly impossible to find a company to work for that has the same culture as Bullhorn. One thing specifically has kept me at Bullhorn: everyone WANTS you to succeed and WANTS to help you succeed, if they can.

Cons

Bullhorn is a work-from-home-first company, so there's not much outside interaction / socializing with your colleagues, unless you work in one of the offices. If that is something that is important to you, when looking for your next employer, you may want to consider working from one of the brick-and-mortar offices Bullhorn has.

The headline says it all for me! I'm so glad you're having such a positive experience here, and appreciate your advice about the remote first environment. We have some virtual events coming up in September, and I'll hope you're take part in them! Let's keep raising the bar together! - Kelley Morse, CPO

Pros

Approachable leadership that leads by example Excellent managers Top notch culture and people Flexible and remote work options Great work/life balance Unlimited PTO Solid health benefits + 401K Mentorship program Always evolving - keeps you on your toes Constant learning opportunities

Cons

Always evolving can also be a con - while I personally thrive in this setting, the constant change can (and has been) not ideal for some, especially in the last few years.

This is an incredibly thoughtful review. What sticks with me is the part on seasons and living through each of them. Getting through winter makes the summer feel just that much better, and while you're toughing it out, the relationships only deepen in times of challenge. It's a really good analogy. Thanks for giving me a few to mull on this morning. Hope you continue to love it here, thrive here through all the seasons ahead! - Kelley Morse, CPO
