Pros

The people and the culture are far and away the best part of working at Bullhorn, and always have been. If I didn't love the people I work with, I probably wouldn't still be here. Everyone buys into the company mission of providing an incredible customer experience and it really makes a big difference. There's a lot of energy and things always move quickly. It's a real work hard and play hard environment. No matter what role you're coming into, if you perform well and work hard there will be lots of opportunities for promotions and career growth. Every company struggles in some areas, but Bullhorn is an amazing place to work.

Cons

Work/life balance can be a challenge in some departments. Everyone buying into the mission is the rock we can lean upon, but as the company has rapidly grown there are difficulties and inefficiencies in communications between departments. By extension, internal processes can be hampering. Some teams are perpetually understaffed. The employee scorecard system is conceptually and fundamentally flawed.

Bullhorn employees ARE amazing, and together we can tackle the issues you're identifying. Everyone has a say, and I encourage you to bring forth ideas to improve inefficiencies and resource gaps. (I'm especially interested in thoughts you have around staffing and scorecards!) OZ Principal is great and you're right that a book by itself does not create accountability; that does need to come from the top, but also from all levels.

Pros

It's nearly impossible to find a company to work for that has the same culture as Bullhorn. One thing specifically has kept me at Bullhorn: everyone WANTS you to succeed and WANTS to help you succeed, if they can.

Cons

Bullhorn is a work-from-home-first company, so there's not much outside interaction / socializing with your colleagues, unless you work in one of the offices. If that is something that is important to you, when looking for your next employer, you may want to consider working from one of the brick-and-mortar offices Bullhorn has.

The headline says it all for me! I'm so glad you're having such a positive experience here, and appreciate your advice about the remote first environment. We have some virtual events coming up in September, and I'll hope you're take part in them! Let's keep raising the bar together! - Kelley Morse, CPO

Pros

Approachable leadership that leads by example Excellent managers Top notch culture and people Flexible and remote work options Great work/life balance Unlimited PTO Solid health benefits + 401K Mentorship program Always evolving - keeps you on your toes Constant learning opportunities

Cons

Always evolving can also be a con - while I personally thrive in this setting, the constant change can (and has been) not ideal for some, especially in the last few years.

This is an incredibly thoughtful review. What sticks with me is the part on seasons and living through each of them. Getting through winter makes the summer feel just that much better, and while you're toughing it out, the relationships only deepen in times of challenge. It's a really good analogy. Thanks for giving me a few to mull on this morning. Hope you continue to love it here, thrive here through all the seasons ahead! - Kelley Morse, CPO
