Pros

There are many pros to working at Bullhorn: -The benefits here are fantastic. Everything from health insurance to 401k matching, long parental leave, and of course the unlimited time off! -Internal growth is a real thing here. Personally speaking, I went from an entry level position to many promotions over 8 years into a middle to high management position. This story is not only true for myself, but true of that of my peers, and even several employees. When dedication is seen, time and investment is put into you to ensure success and continued growth. -Direct contribution to company growth: Being able to see your work or your departments work positively impact the company is an awesome feeling. -The people here are also great. Going from in-office to remote has not changed this. People are still willing to help, and even take time to check in and just catch up. Again, the people here make this place into an awesome community. -From my own personal experience, the flexibility here is also great. I can be in my home town one day, and the next be on the other side of the country without an issue. The expectation is so long as your work gets completed, and you continue to communicate, your hours and location can and should be flexible.

Cons

Like the pros above, there are a few cons that I will outline as Bullhorn not be for everyone. -The drive for more. Bullhorn will continue to push for more, and push to deliver the best. Sometimes this can feel overwhelming as you get off one large objective, and immediately into another. This type of environment can be taxing on some. This is where the unlimited time off benefit comes in. -Team size is lean. Your team can feel lean at times, which can result in additional stress, and increased work load. -High opportunity can lead to lower pay. Personally speaking my high success here had me underpaid initially. Unless you are comfortable speaking on your own behalf and pushing for that increase you could see yourself underpaid. -Fast paced environment. I was not sure whether to put this in pros or cons as it can fit in both buckets. For me, I enjoy a fast paced environment where the work does not feel stale, and I come into something new each week or each month. For some, this type of environment can be taxing. This can also mean you start something, pause it, tackle the new priority and come back to what you paused. I don't mind this, while others seemingly dread it.

I really appreciate this really balanced and thorough feedback. I'd be curious to see what team you're on - as I think the team size/feeling squeezed can vary based on the department. Maybe flag it anonymously in our upcoming engagement survey and we can dig in a bit more? Or feel free to message me. Thank you so much for your long tenure, and congrats on your continued success! - Kelley, CPO

Pros

It's nearly impossible to find a company to work for that has the same culture as Bullhorn. One thing specifically has kept me at Bullhorn: everyone WANTS you to succeed and WANTS to help you succeed, if they can.

Cons

Bullhorn is a work-from-home-first company, so there's not much outside interaction / socializing with your colleagues, unless you work in one of the offices. If that is something that is important to you, when looking for your next employer, you may want to consider working from one of the brick-and-mortar offices Bullhorn has.

The headline says it all for me! I'm so glad you're having such a positive experience here, and appreciate your advice about the remote first environment. We have some virtual events coming up in September, and I'll hope you're take part in them! Let's keep raising the bar together! - Kelley Morse, CPO

Pros

-Brand is well-known, Bullhorn has established their position in the market, navigated numerous highs and lows through the years, and remains at the top -Constantly evolves with the industry, feels like the business strategy is ahead of the curve and not behind the curve -Dynamic and innovative, I learn new things constantly and I am rarely bored here -Consistently promotes from within and encourages career growth via ad-hoc opportunities and stretch projects, invests in talent via leadership programs -Culture of excellence, attracts high-achievers, high standards are balanced with the flexibility of a remote-first environment and trust, leaders treat you like adults and empower you to manage your own time and work -The core values are aligned with my personal values, and employees actually live them (leadership included) -The people are the best: Agile, collaborative, smart, innovative, and they CARE about each other, about the work, and about the industry; global workforce offers incredible opportunities to learn about and work with other people toward a common goal

Cons

-Bullhorn changes and evolves with the industry, which sometimes causes shifts in projects, priorities, and teams. If you don't like change and/or can't connect your day-to-day work to the bigger picture strategy of a company and pivot accordingly, this isn't the place for you. The expectations and pace aren't for everybody (but 10/10 would recommend to the right person).

This is a really terrific review, and is one of the accurate portrayals of our company. For all the PROS, the cons are real - we move quickly, and a certain type of talent thrives here. I hope you continue to love it and feel energized by where we are going - if not, you know where to find me!! - Kelley Morse, CPO
