Pros
The Darby location is close to Wawa I suppose that’s a Pro
Cons
This business has a lot of potential and has an admirable mission however they need a board of dedicated individuals who believe in taking the company to the next level and holding each individual in leadership accountable. Within two weeks I have experienced cultural insensitivity, religious insensitivity and have been exposed to workplace fear culture. I was criticized for my religious beliefs and called the devil without any management intervention. I was joked about my African American decent and how we all came from off a boat from someone of a different race. I was consistently encouraged and reminded to fear the CEO because he quote “fires on the spot”. These all occurred within two weeks. I was told I couldn’t fully assist students who needed clothes for interviews and I was discouraged to fully assist students with our advertised resources. The primary focus here is to reach numbers not to help individuals actually change their lives which is unfortunate. There is no FMLA , no Tuition reimbursement, no employee assistance program , nothing to benefit employees.I also want to mention that they have no safety policies or procedures in place other than writing where you went on a shared calendar or occasionally having another female partner. There is no security in the office for when male students especially ones with backgrounds visit the office. The concern is only to reach numbers to keep contract’s. Hopefully the business gains new leadership and helps the company with these issues in the future.
