Thank you for your insightful and obviously well thought-out posting. Building a brand and a company in a complex health care system that is emerging, from the private pay world into the big leagues of commercial payers and state and Federal mandates, with accompanying regulations is an interesting proposition. My years of experience have demonstrated that growing health care companies want it all - and to tackle it all at the same time. From clinical competency and expertise, training and professional development, to extensive team member benefits and client/family resources. The strategic plan is well constructed with great respect maintained in listening to team members and parents in order to transform the company and industry; however, as with all great adventures, ABA Therapy is not without unexpected changes requiring a shift in direction. All in all, that means we cannot do everything all at once...even though we try! We try because it is all about the client, access to services, and fulfilling the needs of the entire team where the client and family reside in the center. I take personally that you felt you were pushing the boulder all alone, as that is never the expectation or intention. We continue to add to both our local and national resources, as you recognized.
