Pros

Working with different types of people and communities.

Cons

First and foremost, do not do it. You are driving your own car from city to city with little if not any compensation for it. The hours are never guaranteed and you may only work 3 hours a day. You can’t support your bills or yourself with this company and they will cut your hours and you’re never able to work full time. There’s no benefits. You are ruining your own vehicle by how many miles you put on it while the BCBAs all do their work from home and use zoom. You’re not supported in your roles, and have no idea about clients beforehand and BCBAs often don’t even know since you, the RBT, are the ones actually doing the job and you’re not getting paid or respected for it. It has such a high turn over rate that cases often have more than 3 RBTS working on a case and then they leave within a month leaving the parents of the children frustrated with the company. You’re not paid enough for this job and they’re using you and they know it. BCBAs and the ones higher up in the company all are overwhelmed with their cases and often don’t show up when their supposed too. Seriously if you’re reading this run the other way. You’re getting taken adva

Butterfly Effects Response

Butterfly Effects always attempts to schedule cases so drive time between clients is minimized. We also work with families to reduce session cancellations. If a family cancels too often, we work with the family to increase session attendance. We will discharge families that cancel sessions too often. This is a particularly harsh review for a 2-year staff. Please feel free to contact me at steve.woolf@butterflyeffects.com and I will listen to concerns. Steve Woolf, PhD., BCBA-D President
