Pros

Decent pay, most co-workers are nice and enjoy training, get to work independently

Cons

Very long hiring process (3+ months), hard to get clients/hours, training was not that effective, management seems annoyed when you ask questions

With all due respect, what we do to change the lives of families on the ASD journey is far from just a job. Families deserve to be our priority. The hiring process is indeed longer than many other environments due to the payer regulations and requirements, especially for Tricare beneficiaries. We have streamlined this process and continue to dialogue with government officials to reduce such time lines. Yet, the free training that BE provides to become a Registered Behavior Technician, including paying for associated fees allows the candidate to have a future as a paraprofessional. That is one investment that I rarely see in the rest of health care. As a small, cottage health care industry, the majority of Tech positions offered are part-time. We have shifted our hiring profile to accommodate those looking for full-time hours in certain markets. Great progress adding to the very best service and outcomes for families and team members!
