Pros

1. Laid back atmosphere. 2. Free snacks. 3. Fun activities every once in a while 4. The worker bees are all really good people. Probably the friendliest atmosphere you will come across.

Cons

The first thing you need to know about Buxton is that its run by the Buxton family. Tom Buxton is the owner and his son in laws are the top execs. The culture of the company seems to be that survival is based on never making a decision that Tom doesn't like. This leads to all leadership never wanting to make a decision about anything unless forced to by Tom. 1. No corporate structure. Probably common in family owned businesses. 2. Little professional development. If you want to get better at your career you need to figure it out on your own. Buxton does not invest in your professional career. 3. People have been fired without any warning here an alarming number of times. People don't get written up here. You can win employee of the month and be fired soon after without even a meeting. Don't make any waves at Buxton or else! 4. Pay seems to be under market for about everything but sales. 5. HR isn't like HR at other companies. Its more of a recruiting dept. Once you are an employee payroll will handle your benefits and that's probably the last you will ever really work with HR. Never bring up employee issues to hr or things can happen. 6. Turnover appears to be high at a lot of key talent positions.

Pros

The people here are incredible, the environment promotes learning, and the leadership was clear and concise when I worked with Wes, Harv and Shelley.

Cons

I have essentially none. I was let go after 3 great years and even then several leaders went out of their way to connect with great job opportunities.
