Pros

All the coffee and soda you can drink. Nut assortment. The analysts who create the models are amazingly intelligent hard working folks who mainly use this place as a stepping stone to their next job where they will be appreciated.

Cons

What do you expect from a company who couldn't even create original core values? (Take a look on the wall when you interview...they are coincidentally the same as Zappos) This is a frat boy club with no originality. It is led by people who either are related to the owner or who have only ever worked at Buxton with no other experience, only what they've read in a book or online. The owner is a "shoot from the hip" loud, arrogant guy who only cares about the dollar, NOTHING ELSE. There are regular yelling matches across the office between the COO and whoever is the target that day. Employees are completely undervalued. They mask this by providing a "fun event" once a month. Office hours are 8-5:30. But if you leave on time you are considered a slacker, so be prepared to work at least 50 hours a week. There is absolutely no work/life. They don't care about your "life". What you hear in the interview is not real life at Buxton. There are no performance reviews. You never know where you stand. Training is about a week long, completely ineffective. Titles are given out freely. There are more directors and VPs here than regular employees. The turnover is insane. At least one person quits or is fired bi weekly. The solution being sold was ineffectively developed and even the systems engineers who are the only ones to support it have quit because they were treated so poorly. It's crappy and overpriced yet it's inappropriately sold by the sales team with the mess to be cleaned up by the "CX team" (another buzz word term stolen from the internet). The solution is basically an expensive "educated guess" but companies somehow think they are getting this highly scientific tool. Oh an if you are on the "CX" team, you have to dress up every day to sit at your desk, while the rest of the company gets to wear jeans. A lot of people come to work at Buxton for the experience and the contacts you make. Don't do it. It's not worth your time or your sanity.

Pros

The people here are incredible, the environment promotes learning, and the leadership was clear and concise when I worked with Wes, Harv and Shelley.

Cons

I have essentially none. I was let go after 3 great years and even then several leaders went out of their way to connect with great job opportunities.
