Pros
It is hard to quantify what makes C-4 such a great place to come to every day. People stay here even though the work is hard, clients are frustrating, and the hours are long. Still, many of us have turned down much higher offers with fancy job titles to stay here. Some of us have even left and come back! What is so special about this place you will never understand by reading our website. That’s why I’m writing this. Obviously, one factor is the people. That has already been discussed to death here. Then there is the real-world, digital education you get working here. That goes without saying. There is the culture. Sure, this is a really fun place to work but there is something else at play here that simply transcends culture. It is probably different for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me. Working here has transformed me from a motivated worker-bee with a 9-5’er to an employee that cares with a real career. The people, culture, work, training, technology and pressure that is omnipresent here breeds leadership. I’ve worked at other places. The level of knowledge, skill and personal growth you get in this environment is completely at the next level. The real life situations have made me more self-aware, mature and empathetic. I have become much more self-assured, comfortable making tough decisions and confident in my ability to lead others. I can honestly say this company has changed me for the better.
Cons
There really are not too many cons here that are not present in any fast-paced company. Most of the common complaints (e.g. work life balance, overcrowding, can make more elsewhere) have been discussed in other reviews. A few reviews cite “favoritism” and insinuate that the competitive environment breeds a culture where Seniors and Management try to take credit for other’s work. That could not be further from the truth. Anyone who works here will tell you the Seniors here are mature, team-oriented professionals. The problem is that you need to have a level of emotional maturity and ability to tolerate frustration to work in any dynamic workplace. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
