Pros
Yes, you will learn a lot about digital marketing and all of the "pros" you see on here is correct. If a review looks like it's written by HR or the "chosen few" of C-4... the truth is it's absolutely propaganda. There are positives and negatives to working at every job - obviously - but please look at the "cons" and what former and current employees have to say. Don't look at each review, look at the common trends. These former and current employees on here want entry-level college graduates to understand what they're in store for before you blindly take a salary WAY under market-value and then be worked into the ground.
Cons
+ Because C-4's external marketing at trade shows and pitches to prospective clients position them as a leader (in a really arrogant way), clients fully expect you to know absolutely everything about the automotive industry. I mean... you are expected to know every little detail about cars and cars and cars and more cars. + Their entire business (95%) is offering digital marketing to your local automotive dealer. This means the work is repetitive (meaning every month you are doing the same thing over and over and over and over). Go to your local auto dealer and speak to the General Manager - that is who you will be working with. The clients are incredibly difficult, disrespectful and mean. + They're counting on entry-level grads to come in way above value, prove you do not know enough (because you are so young and inexperienced), get one or two years out of you, and then you'll either leave or be fired. + YES - it's common to work until 8-9 PM with little opportunities to ever get ahead (because of the cyclical nature of the automotive industry). + The people who have been at C-4 for a long time have been so indoctrinated or have never had another job other than C-4 so they think this paranoia and mental warfare is normal - it's not only not normal but it's also incredibly abusive, unethical and absolutely absurd. The reputation of C-4 is would be laughable if it wasn't so absurd. Recruiters cannot/refuse to work with them anymore due to the feedback and horror stories they have heard. Having C-4 on your resume means you will either have to explain why you were only there for a year or so, or (if you're lucky) you will have someone who knows about C-4's reputation and will laugh with you at such a horrible and arrogant organization.
