Pros

I’ve been waiting years to write this review. I have lots of thoughts. But here’s the short version... - C-4 is NOT the same company it was 3-5 years ago. We are much larger, more stable and the Executive team (especially those hired after 2016) is full of thoughtful people who have good sense and real empathy. Kudos to the CEO and VP for hiring excellent executives that employees like and trust. - In 2017, C-4 got a minority stakeholder (Boston Venture) that gave us some MUCH needed capital and excellent accountability. It was a game-changer, in my opinion. - Applicants: Don’t pay too much attention to GlassDoor reviews from 2017 or before. Our earlier, start-up days were mayhem with plenty of B.S. Every month brought a new crisis, every client cancellation felt like the end of the world, and every employee’s departure brought pure chaos. We had no automation and workloads were astronomical. But that has changed. - Every year at C-4 gets more stable and professional. Very little of the lingering start-up B.S. still exists. You will definitely work hard at C-4, but it should be a much more pleasant experience than what people got in the past. There’s a reason I’m still here 5+ years later

Cons

Company used to be totally chaotic. Automotive clients are not super fun to work with. It’s hard to juggle the dozens and dozens of platforms, programs, channels and auto brands.

Pros

Industry-Leading Training: Known for a robust "C-4 University" style onboarding and continuous learning. It is an excellent place for recent grads to learn the fundamentals of SEO, SEM, and multi-channel digital strategy. Fast-Paced Career Trajectory: Because it is a high-growth agency, there are frequent opportunities for internal promotion for those who demonstrate high performance and take initiative. Merit-Based Culture: Employees often note that impact matters more than tenure; if you deliver results, you are noticed and rewarded. Collaborative Peers: One of the most cited pros is the "smart, young, and energetic" workforce. The team environment is supportive, and coworkers are generally willing to help each other solve complex client problems.

Cons

High-Pressure Environment: The agency operates in the fast-moving automotive sector. This often leads to tight deadlines and a "high-octane" atmosphere that can feel stressful during month-end reporting or major client launches.

Pros

The people were pretty cool, my team was close and everyone was chill.

Cons

The grind is honestly insulting. There were days where I worked 10+ hours and still couldn't get everything done. Imagine being responsible for every facet of a client account. SEO, SEM, Social, Website, and having to hold weekly meetings to discuss performance, even when there were no changes week over week. Now, multiply that effort to 11-15 clients. Get the picture? I swear I spent the last hour of every day sitting at my desk in my home office crying because of all the things there were to do. I spent my daughter's first birthday party lost in my head about the reports that had to be filed first thing Monday morning, all the landing pages that had to be submitted, all the specials that needed to get done. And the worst part, C-4 GLORIFIES this level of workload, like doing this job for way less pay than is fair is this badge of honor, or the price of admission for working for their 'winning company'. If you're okay with your job being 90% of your existence, this is the place for you. If not, run. Run away from that recruiter telling you you'd be a great fit for C-4 and don't look back.
