I had no idea that management could be so disorganized and so out of the loop regarding operations. - Anonymous employee C.H. Robinson Employee Review

Pros

The benefits are acceptable and the floor level employees are nice, but I don't really have anything else that's nice to say...

Cons

There are so many; employees are treated like work horses, management lacks the ability to actually lead, unless you are in the "in" crowd you will not advance (basically you must follow instructions blindly for management to like you), pay is not very reasonable, temps are supposed to learn something as complex as customs brokerage in a short period of time with sub-par training (which shows how much they "value" brokerage, doesn't it?), managers speak badly about employees on the floor to other employees where everyone can hear them, they chronically use fear tactics to get what they want out of employees, they use one system (Navisphere - which is a joke to anyone with experience outside of CHR) for import and export but brokerage must utilize 3 systems (one of which is CargoWise but they call it Navisphere Customs - brainwashing?), they have no problem putting so much work on an employee that they may have to stay till 10PM to get their work done, everyone is upset there, and HR pretty much refuses to do anything about the issues. Also, the turnover rate is high and customers are leaving left and right. It'd be nice if they stopped blaming all of this on the merger with Phoenix (especially since they ran most of those people out by ostracizing them) and on the integration of the systems. They are all about blaming the issues on someone else and not fixing any of them. It's a shame.

Pros

Not much that I can think of, would say its decent pay but they move the goal posts on goals every year so once you get comfortable with your goals and achieving your target to them hitting the reset button and back to square one

Cons

The culture has shifted in a very negative direction. Top performers can still feel boxed in by limited growth opportunities, changing expectations, and compensation structures that do not always reflect actual performance. There is a heavy focus on control, office attendance, and short-term metrics, while trust and morale continue to decline. It can feel political, exhausting, and disconnected from the people actually driving results. Very toxic for capacity reps, they do everything wrong and contstantly are the whipping posts for commercial teams who are always in the right
