Pros

Good colleagues. Boston office is nice open floor plan. Company actually took time to reflect on racism. Lots of values and praise given to one and other. Some coworkers were brilliant and performed way beyond their level but for whatever reason weren't management favorites.

Cons

Even though the company tackles racism, the best way to tackle racism is to not pay employees pennies. Real tangible money enables BIPOCs to build wealth, retire on time, and end cycle of poverty. Agencies like C SPACE have created a new class of working white collar poor. Pay is fine if you work remote (they probably cut your pay further) but not remotely livable in Boston or Cambridge. Only way I made ends meet was living with my partner who made three times my comp. Took years before managers learned direct report pay. There are two cultures at C SPACE. One where everyone's happy, believes in the mission, and goes out to drinks with their team, toxic positivity. The other is very stressed coworkers who cry during work from home from burnout, ALT who refuses to acknowledge we're understaffed, and a neverending stream of new grads who join to replace the dozens who leave. This got worse when the agency hired lots from ad agencies which brought toxic cattiness to C SPACE.
