Pros
The pay is pretty good for part-time work, and if you work part-time, you have a decent amount of flexibility with which shifts you take (with-in the limits of the specific working hours). Also great if you like to work with kids.
Cons
The hours are a little difficult to work around. For my center, we are open Monday and Thursday 3pm - 9pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm. Obviously the weekday hours can't start earlier because you need the kids to be out of school, but it's almost like working 2nd shift. Working Saturdays can be quite annoying when planning for trips or time off. There are no real breaks between sessions except on Saturday when you get 25 minutes for lunch.
