Pros
Overall the company is well established with some great career potentials if you know the rite people. The salary for engineers and technicians is average to low as far as industry standards go. Great company to join if you wish to get your feet through the door.
Cons
This is only a statement from the department I was a part of and is not a full reflection of the company as a whole. They Will literally hire any technician that knows how to spell the word fiber splicing. All techs were hired from cable companies with little to zero fiber experience yet alone microelectronics assemblies or photonics. Management are living in some fantasy land were everything is running perfectly, supervisors were also techs from cable companies with little to zero optical knowledge or experience. Supervisors were terrified of anyone that had any industry experience or knew more than them, they would do there up most to push you out the door. From the day I started the supervisor was walking around telling technicians to stay away from me because they didn’t like me and that I was a know it all. I think they felt somewhat threatened from me during the interview faze. I would repetitively have people come up to me saying why does management hate you what did you do.
