Pros

My project uses a modern tech stack and has many talented engineers and solid managers. However, your experience will depend a lot on the project you join. Also, the pay is pretty good for government contracting. Benefits are industry standard.

Cons

They use FTO, which is a big downgrade from PTO. You don't accumulate time off, so you can't get paid out if you leave. Also, it's "capped". For example, on my project you still have to hit 90% utilization, but they don't communicate that to you outright. Instead, they just say you get 5 1/2 weeks off, which is great for junior practitioners, but mediocre for more senior practitioners. Also, the corporate IT systems are poor, which slows down development significantly and causes many headaches.

Pros

The "unlimited" FTO is the leader of the pros. Then the leadership has been mostly great and accommodating in allowing you to take time off. There are also plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. There is also the work. Its is very interesting work for specific customers and seeing your part get implemented into a larger project has been rewarding. The team is also great. Everyone is friendly and genuinely cares.

Cons

The big Con like many project oriented Gov contractors is that "everything" becomes priority and it can be difficult to stay on track as well as not get in the way of other teams.
