There are absolutely no accountability standards at this organization. Staff in leadership roles are allowed to exhibit poor professional behavior, including retaliating against staff who report them, without any recourse. Annual performance reviews aren't even evaluated by HR nor archived at all because there is no authentic and comprehensive merit increase policy. What donors and others will find beneath the surface of CARE is a culture of overworked, underpaid, and - depending on the manager - under-appreciated staff who are the lifeblood of this organization. Meanwhile, there is exorbitant spending on public relations to generate more revenue to create unnecessary and duplicate leadership roles. The layers of leadership at this organization are ridiculous. If you decide to work here, commit to a specific time frame for your tenure and then take your talents to a more authentic place with accountability standards for everyone and protection measures for employees, as well as better pay and benefits.
