Pros
CBRE is fully committed to their RISE values: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence. They say they try to hire "smart, nice people" and I have certainly found that to be the case. The company offers competitive pay and benefits and works globally, so there always seem to be internal job openings. All the managers I've worked with have been extremely supportive of my professional developement, even if it meant I would leave CBRE for another opportunity.
Cons
Working on the GWS side of the company can be a bit siloeing. You are assigned to a large client and your client team becomes like a mini company that you work at, which is connected to the broader CBRE organization. For someone not working directly in an advisory or project management rol, it can be difficult to network and understand what opportunities exist. This seems true in digital and technology - CBRE has many teams performing great work but it's hard to discover any of these teams and job openings on these teams seem rare.
