Pros

The CEO is very health-conscious, so while your medical/dental insurance will cover very little, the company provides free fruit and water.

Cons

- Harassment is brushed aside. - Toxic level executives take out their dislike for each other via their subordinates, which creates an stressful cycle of blaming and fighting. - There is no accountability, and when a project is changed mid-stream, the fault falls on those working on it rather than on leadership. You will be belittled, very publicly, for others' mistakes and indecision. - Extremely clique-driven culture, which is hidden by a dystopian behavior code (The CCA Way), which catalyzes the exact behavior it condemns. - There is no room for advancement; executives stay, while the rest of the company is a system of revolving doors. Bosses rely on complacency and obedience, but are quick to hire and fire. - You will pay for a great deal of travel out of pocket and have to wait to be reimbursed. If you have to buy a plane ticket that costs 4/5 of your paycheck, you need to go hungry and wait to pay your bills until the company pays you back. The travel policies don't work in workers' favor. - Pay overall is very low compared to other companies, because it's a cooperative. I was paid significantly less than a coworker who held the same position for the same duration as I did.

Pros

CCA has a really positive, team-oriented culture. People are approachable and supportive, and there’s a genuine sense that everyone is working toward the same goal. It doesn’t feel overly corporate, which I appreciate. The mission—helping independent businesses succeed—actually comes through in the work, which makes it feel meaningful. There’s also a good level of stability, and if you’re someone who likes to take initiative, you can definitely grow and carve out opportunities for yourself. Leadership is accessible and makes an effort to communicate, and there’s been a noticeable focus on listening to employees and continuing to improve. It’s one of those places where people tend to stay a long time, which says a lot. Overall, it’s a solid place to work with good people, a collaborative environment, and a company that’s trying to do the right things.

Cons

No cons I can think of.

Pros

- Supportive and collaborative immediate team. - Strong relationships with coworkers and opportunities to build lasting friendships. - Industry-standard design tools and interesting projects. - Good work-life flexibility depending on the team. - Leadership within the Visual Merchandising department genuinely cared about employee well-being and collaboration.

Cons

- Career growth opportunities for creative roles are extremely limited, making it difficult to build a long-term career. - Project timelines are often reactive rather than proactive, which creates unnecessary stress and compressed design schedules. - Accountability across departments should be stronger so deadlines are shared fairly rather than shifting pressure onto downstream teams. - Company culture has changed over the past several years and no longer feels as people oriented as it once did.
