Pros

When I started at CCA, The Glassdoor Reviews were averaging about 3.5 stars, with a sudden uptick after the company requested people to write positive reviews on here. I wanted to give CCA the benefit of the doubt, and in many ways, CCA is still an OK company to work for. But oh boy do they have a long way to go. -The marketing team is genuinely a set of good-spirited, talented people. I could never see myself in any other subdivision at CCA. The youth and visionary talent mostly stems from the folks under marketing (though their voices seem to get drowned out by the older generations still running the show) -If you like autonomy, this is the place for you. Management doesn't interject (to a fault) and you can truly manage your own day. -an opportunity for semi-annual travel to a convention (if that interests you)

Cons

Unfortunately, I have to say the cons outweigh the pros, especially considering future growth. Marketing is the fastest-growing department at CCA it seems, but even so, your growth isn't guaranteed. There's no real process for promotion, and negotiating only occurs at your annual review in October, with NO exceptions. I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: The company NEEDS to get progressive. CCA strives to position itself as a progressive company, especially in the interview process. The moment you start, however, you realize this is not the case. You have to fight the company to offer you a laptop, even if you're working remotely. They rely on an outdated messaging system, outdated VPN, and clunky desktop setup over laptops for all. From a cultural standpoint, you will feel like you've stepped into a time machine if you're under 30. No outward efforts to care for true social justice causes, ideals, or that of a modern workforce. No efforts to show that we care about women's causes, LGBTQ+ causes, or those for people of color and sustainability. We preach inclusivity but are white-washed and pander to an anti-vax, anti-mask, hard-right base of members in the co-op. It was a fight just to get CCA to cancel the convention during the height of the January 2022 omicron spike. And dare I bring up the keynote speaker that mocked higher education during the July 2021 Convention? Outdated expectations of girls wearing 1970s flight attendant scarves while the boys wear starchy, oversized polos at Convention? This has to stop. Benefits: They offer healthcare, gym reimbursement, and 2 weeks of PTO. That's pretty much it. 2 weeks of vacation in 2022 is absolute insanity. Most companies now offer 4 weeks, 5 weeks, or unlimited PTO and sick time, given all that we've learned about work-life balance during the pandemic. Aetna insurance isn't bad, but coverage is spotty. Only 7 holidays and 2 floating personal days until your 3rd year on the job. This will not attract your best talent given how competitive the workforce is.

CCA Global Partners Response Thank you for taking the time to write your review; we truly value your feedback. As a best practice from Glassdoor, organizations are encouraged to ask current employees to write Glassdoor reviews - we don't ask for positive ones, specifically. We are really not sure what you are referring to with an 'outdated VPN.' All secure organizations use VPNs to be able to remote into the network when working outside of the office. Regarding the scarves at conventions - they have been meant to be a way for our members to know who a CCA employee is. They can be worn in any way you wish. Many made them part of their CCA 'outfit' or had them hanging from their purse or belt loop. Again, we value your feedback and will reconsider this accessory. Since you are a current employee, if you are having issues with our Aetna PPO Plan, you can reach out to Human Resources at any time for them to assist you for further explanation on coverage. Unfortunately, insurance plans do not cover every medical issue at 100%. Again, thank you for your transparency. We always strive to be a better company.

Pros

CCA has a really positive, team-oriented culture. People are approachable and supportive, and there’s a genuine sense that everyone is working toward the same goal. It doesn’t feel overly corporate, which I appreciate. The mission—helping independent businesses succeed—actually comes through in the work, which makes it feel meaningful. There’s also a good level of stability, and if you’re someone who likes to take initiative, you can definitely grow and carve out opportunities for yourself. Leadership is accessible and makes an effort to communicate, and there’s been a noticeable focus on listening to employees and continuing to improve. It’s one of those places where people tend to stay a long time, which says a lot. Overall, it’s a solid place to work with good people, a collaborative environment, and a company that’s trying to do the right things.

Cons

No cons I can think of.

Pros

- Supportive and collaborative immediate team. - Strong relationships with coworkers and opportunities to build lasting friendships. - Industry-standard design tools and interesting projects. - Good work-life flexibility depending on the team. - Leadership within the Visual Merchandising department genuinely cared about employee well-being and collaboration.

Cons

- Career growth opportunities for creative roles are extremely limited, making it difficult to build a long-term career. - Project timelines are often reactive rather than proactive, which creates unnecessary stress and compressed design schedules. - Accountability across departments should be stronger so deadlines are shared fairly rather than shifting pressure onto downstream teams. - Company culture has changed over the past several years and no longer feels as people oriented as it once did.
